Technology Platform
- The system relies on Microsoft SQL Server 2017 as a data store, with the front end being a web application built on Microsoft’s ASP.NET MVC 5 platform using Entity Framework 6 as the data access layer, running on IIS version 8.
- Invoices are generated in PDF format using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and can be either printed for traditional mailing or automatically sent via email on a per client basis. For additional security there is an option to send an email notification that the invoice has been uploaded to a secure portal rather than emailing the invoice itself.
- In addition to these foundation technologies, the system also uses industry standard libraries such as Bootstrap 3 & jQuery to provide a modern and flexible user experience, as well as Microsoft’s SignalR messaging library to keep the user informed of progress during processing.
Capsule Capabilities
- Provides eligibility management tools to track adds, changes and terminations.
- Access a variety of standard reports including enrollment and billing history.
- Carrier support technology including eligibility data transfer through HIPPA compliant 834 transmission, multi product scalability and payment reporting.
- Branded logo on invoice and on application main menu.
- Invoice page layout automatically selected based on individual invoice content: portrait, landscape, or oversized.
- Becomes a powerful utility in which the service provider can accurately bill for services rendered, thus recovering lost revenue.
- Currently Capsule’s system incorporates the Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software package and pushes data to MS GP to track invoices and payments received, interacting with Dynamics GP through its eConnect programming interface to maintain client, invoice, and general ledger data.
- If you use Quickbooks we have you covered as well. Capsule can export invoice data to Quickbooks giving the end user the ability to easily account for client invoices from Capsule.
- The source data for invoicing is an enrollment database, tracking clients, carriers, plans offered, enrollees, enrollee dependents, premiums and plan selections. Capsule’s enrollment system is the engine that drives the billing module. MPB has built sophisticated algorithms to accommodate simultaneous enrollment into a multitude of vendor platforms, thus allowing one source for enrollment.
- Capsule’s enrollment database keeps track of enrollees’ employment status and plan elections, it has all the information necessary to send enrollment updates to carriers to keep their databases up to date as well. This is facilitated by the system generating 834 files and delivering them to the carrier.
- Carriers have varying requirements for the exact content and format of the 834 data, the system includes a flexible configuration setup where the layout of the 834 file can be easily configured to fit the specific requirements for each carrier.
- Files can be automatically and securely delivered to a carrier by SFTP if the carrier provides an SFTP site for receiving them or saved to a local SFTP site where a carrier can retrieve them or saved locally to be delivered by whatever process the carrier prefers (secure email, etc.).
- The system also provides an option to automatically send notification via email to a contact at the carrier to alert them when a new 834 file is available
